Redfield Energy, LLC, a new 50 million gallon per year ethanol facility located near Redfield, SD will celebrate its Grand Opening Ceremony Thursday, Aug. 23.
Tours will be given from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. and from 4 pm to 6: p.m. A Grand Opening Ceremony will begin at 3pm with several guest speakers including South Dakota Lieutenant Governor Dennis Daugaard; Sen. John Thune; Rep. Stephanie Herseth Sandlin; Tonya Peterson, staff Assistant for Sen. Tim Johnson; Matt Hartwig, Renewable Fuels Association; Lisa Richardson, South Dakota Corn Growers Association; Brian Jennings, American Coalition for Ethanol; Ron Fagen, Fagen, Inc; Mark McCorkle, ICM, Inc; and Dick Gallup, Redfield City Council.
The plant is located approximately 2 miles north of Redfield, SD on Hwy 281. Tours are open to the public and on-site parking will be available.
